As a 21^st Century school Bay View High School promotes the appropriate and meaningful use of pocket technologies (such as cell phones, iPhone’s, iPod’s, iPad’s and Androids) to support curriculum activities.   It is up to the discretion of each individual classroom teacher to determine if and how they would like to incorporate the use of these technologies into their classrooms.  It is not acceptable to have these devices out during instructional time for non-academic use (such as texting, phone calls, internet searches, games, etc.).  Students may use these devices during non-instructional time.  Non-academic use of pocket technologies may result in administrative discipline.
